Application procedure

Besides meeting the eligibility criteria mentioned (see Join the Network) applicants need to meet the following requirements:

- a Master’s degree (for doctoral researchers) or a PhD (for post-doctoral positions) in social sciences, broadly defined;
- excellent command of the English language;
- basic computer skills;
- be highly motivated;
- and where relevant meet the requirements of the host institution

Recruitment Procedure:

Application material for the PhD position:
- a covering letter including a statement of research interests and motivation, including how this relates to the work of the host institution;
- a detailed curriculum vitae;
- certified copies of diploma and grades’ list of master degree;
 - two letters of recommendation;
-1 sample of written work

Application material for the post-doc position:
- a covering letter including a statement of research interest and motivation, including how this relates to the work of the host institution;
- a detailed curriculum vitae;
- certified copies of diploma and grades list;
- 2 publication samples;
- two letters of recommendation

The selection procedure will also comprise an English language test, unless the candidate’s first language is English or s/he has studied at an English-speaking University (all non-native English candidates have to pass the Academic IELTS – minimum score: 7,5 – or TOEFL Internet-based test – minimum score: 113).

Candidates should apply directly to the Supervisor of the University where they intend to undertake their research.

Candidates can only apply at one of the partner universities and should choose for one particular project. If a candidate is not selected at the partner university of his choice, his dossier may in consultation with the candidate, be transferred to another university.
